BKREA is seeking an Investment Sales Intern to join our team for a one-year rotational program. This program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the commercial real estate industry, working alongside experienced professionals and contributing to high-impact projects.
Duties/Essential Functions
- Conduct market research and analysis to support various brokerage activities.
- Assist in the preparation of detailed reports and presentations for clients.
- Analyze financial models and real estate valuations.
- Support data collection and management efforts using both traditional and modern technologies.
- Participate in team meetings, providing insights and contributing to strategic discussions.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand the full scope of BKREA’s operations and services.
- Create detailed and accurate Opinions of Value (OVs) by conducting thorough market research and analyzing comparable sales.
- Use OVs to support negotiation strategies and provide clients with clear insights into the potential value of their land.
- Regularly analyze and interpret current market conditions, trends, and economic indicators that impact land sales.
- Utilize data and market insights to inform and adjust transaction strategies.
- Prepare market reports and updates to share with clients and the internal team, highlighting significant trends and opportunities.
- Schedule and coordinate property tours for prospective buyers, showcasing the property's features and potential.
- Lead tours, providing in-depth knowledge and answering any questions from attendees.
- Support development prospecting efforts by gathering detailed ownership information and compiling relevant building and ZFA (Zoning Floor Area) metrics.
- Assist in the preparation of pitch materials and OV proposals for land in Manhattan and other areas as requested by senior management.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate degree to Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with commercial real estate market trends is a plus.
